When Sover closed down, some of its employees joined Bouchaïb Harmouzi, the originator of the Kessy verre project. Objective: to bring Beldi glass back to life. The company based 30 km from Marrakech employs 25 people, including 8 glassmakers. The activity also generates indirect employment through the collection of glass waste from hotels and restaurants... Kessy works daily 500 kilos of glass, i.e. 15 tons per month. This corresponds to a production of 2 to 3,000 tea glasses per day. Looks like beldi glass has a bright future ahead of it.
