On the side of Rahba-Lakdima Square (or Spices Square), you will see mobile stands, made of bric-a-brac and jug, and offering traditional Moroccan dishes. In the morning from 8am to 12pm, in front of the Spices Café, the Haj Ahmed Bel Haj stand is one of them. This charming gentleman offers a very carefully prepared bean purée, the bissara. Accompanied by a spoonful of olive oil, spices and a piece of hot bread, it is a real treat! Not to be missed.
