RIAD DES DRÔLES
Riad des Droles is a guest house located in the heart of Marrakech's Medina. During your stay, Muriel will share her love for this beautiful city and its generous culture. Here, enjoy life at a different pace, take a moment to savor a meal of a thousand exotic flavors with oriental music in the background, or, during a break for mint tea and colorful pastries, we'll guide you through the Atlas Mountains and the Ouzoud waterfalls, the souks of Ali Baba and an incredible carnival of colors, or venture out and visit the Sahara Desert, the soul of southern Morocco. Marrakech has twice been the capital of Morocco and the city that gave the country its western name. It's a unique and fabulous travel destination that you can't afford to miss. Around the riad's patio is a small fountain, and you'll enjoy the pleasant sensation of living inside a world outside the city itself. You'll enjoy the 100m2 terrace with garden, furniture, deckchairs, parasols, summer room, winter lounge with fireplace, not to mention the fantastic panoramic view typical of Marrakech. Breakfast is "open" at 8:00 a.m. and served on the riad's terrace or in the salon with its typical fireplace, so you can arrive throughout the morning at your own pace. After waking up (yes, wake up early and get out to enjoy the city!) and taking the perfect shower, breakfast will be served and you'll discover all the flavors of a Moroccan morning: squeezed orange juice, mint tea, coffee, hot chocolate, olive oil, toast, fresh olives, Moroccan pancakes (barrir and msemen) with delicious fruit jams and bisara soup. Lunch and dinner at the riad are always prepared "à la maison", straight from the natural savoir-faire of our small team, prepared to give you the best of Moroccan cuisine with a touch of "French spirit". Our cuisine often walks a fine line between a fusion of Moroccan and French cuisine. Menus always include a starter, main course and dessert. Let yourself be tempted by our menus, which we put together together according to your tastes and expectations. You're in the heart of Marrakech, close to the famous Jemaa El Fna square. And you can already hear the snake charmer's magic flute, the street musicians and the hustle and bustle of the souks. To get to Riad des Droles, take derb (street) Dabachi straight ahead. On the way... What a world. Make the most of it! The spice merchant sits patiently waiting for his next customer. The street's smoky perfume shops reach your nose before your eyes notice them. Donkeys, fruit stalls, children, beggars, everything blends together... Suddenly, the muezzin calls for prayer. Without realizing it, you're so close to Jemaa el-Fna Square that you've barely had time to take in what's happened along the way. Back at the riad door, as you did the first time, watch your head! You're tempted to duck, but this time it's a different matter. I forgot to mention that the Riad des drôles is first and foremost a children's Riad. So inevitably, watch your head - the door isn't that big!
