Few bed & breakfasts in the medina are large enough to boast a real swimming pool on the patio, but Al Jazira does. It's the focal point of this vast 18-room property, which consists of three houses joined together (and therefore three patios), and whose décor oscillates between light-colored furniture, potted cacti and a few contemporary works that allow the architecture to speak for itself. Its owner now runs several hotels and also owns the Dar Cherifa literary café, which we love.
