RIAD MASSIBA
Small, value-for-money riad with patio, near Jemâa el-Fna square, featuring nicely decorated rooms
This small riad, 5 minutes from Jemâa el-Fna square, has only 4 rooms, but it has a big heart: its huge patio, a criterion of choice for Vivienne when she gave life to her project as a young retiree in 2002. When you stay at Massiba, you will experience the real guest house on a human scale, since the owner lives there herself. The rooms are nicely decorated and the pastel colors are relaxing. Copious breakfast. Good value for money.

quiet and cool in the daytime,
lovely yard with lots of greens and two cats,
friendly owner and nice breakfast
Cons:
super dark in the room,
poor soundproof,
noise and stomps from the fitting room next door in the evening till 24:00,
Didn’t allow us to lock the door until we strongly urge to do that. We don’t understand why we should take the unnecessary risk of fully “trusting” you and all the strangers by letting our door open all the time. We do appreciate your hospitality and kindness, but we’d prefer keep things in order before it goes out of control
Because of the location, not easy to reach by car- it’s possible if you likely choose the right path and didn’t get tricked by gps- a parking lot is just next to the riad, costing 30 dinars per day. Be careful with the local young fellows who stand alongside the narrow street and try to show your the direction, as they will force you to pay extra money for their “help”
The people working there were not nice and it was too expensive for what it truly is. I would never recommend this place.
The booked a taxi for us and tried to rip us off and charge us more than what’s worth.
The rooms stunk of toilet. On the last day they didn’t give us anything for breakfast.
Ens van fer sentir com a casa.
