Since 2011, the Festival du Rire has plunged Marrakech into a joyous energy, thanks to its ever-present star comedians.

Created by Moroccan-born comedian Jamel Debbouze in 2011, this high-profile 5-day festival brings together artists and comedians at venues including the Théâtre Royal and the Palais El Badi. Thanks to its daring line-up of young emerging artists and experienced actors, this festival offers the best of the Moroccan and French stand-up scene. Jamel and his friends have succeeded in making Marrakech the city of comedy and laughter.
