MARRAKECH AUDIO CITY GUIDE
It was on a trip to Southeast Asia that Françoise Ansquer had the Ingenious Idea of developing the self-guided visit in the Medina of Marrakech. It all starts when Françoise, then lost on the streets of Bangkok, finds himself alpaguée by a swarm of false guides confusing tourism with tirelire. What, as you will agree, frequently happens in the tourist places… with this (painful) experience and his knowledge of Marrakech where she now resides, she wants to demonstrate that the Red City can easily visit without being harassed at all corners of the street. These little mp (MP 3 players) allow you to dive into the history of the medina without any recourse. 4 tours of visits (between 4 and 6 h of listening for each) are programmed in the machine: the surroundings of Jemaâ el Fna, the northern part of the medina, the visit of the south and the ¨, or the Palace quarter and the Saâdiens tombs. With a hand-free kit (if you are in group) and a helmet (for a solo walk), you are guided by a gentle voice that recounts the history of monuments and reveals lots of anecdotes, such as the location of a hammam oven or the origin of the Berber auction… listen when you think and change circuit during the course. Appliances with 24 hours autonomy are deposited the night before at your hotel and recovered by the company of Françoise the next evening. An original idea to encourage and offer a day of RTT to your Petit Smart guide!
