CHURCH OF THE HOLY MARTYRS
The city's last Catholic church to boast a huge interior, with a fresco by the Boutons brothers behind the altar
The rarity is worth noting: the Church of the Saint-Martyrs is the last Catholic church in the city. Inaugurated in 1929 for the French community, it owes its sober lines to the urban planner Henri Prost. The interior is vast and here, the least we can say is that the rococo is not in order. Behind the altar, the fresco of the Boutons brothers, disciples of the Arts Deco, showing a resurrected Christ, constitutes the main point of interest of the building.
