DAR CHERIFA
Old house in the medina of Marrakech, converted into a cultural center with a tea room, housing books on Morocco
The oldest dwelling of the medina recorded in Marrakech (late 15th-early16th century) had long been neglected. Now restored, in the respect of its original architecture, it has recovered all of its beauty: stucco arabesques, carved cedar wood, magnificent patio... But the interest of the place is not only aesthetic. Dar Cherifa has become a cultural center: photo exhibitions, painters or sculptors, concerts, calligraphy workshops, literary meetings... Books on Morocco are also available for free consultation, and since Dar Cherifa is also a tea room, you can sip a mint tea, a juice, and nibble on some pastries while discovering this cultural part of Marrakech. Catering also from noon to 4pm.
