BAB BERRIMA
Bab Berrima, a very narrow gateway built by Ahmed el-Mansour in the century, which has become a haven for many storks
Berrima is a neighborhood known for its riads and ancient mosque, witness to many historic events. The gate was built by Ahmed el-Mansour in the 16th century to control the flow of precious materials destined for the construction of the El Badi palace. Very narrow, it is flanked by two massive adobe bastions and forms a series of elbows designed to hinder enemy assaults. Today, Bab Berrima is home to many storks. On the right, a long corridor leads directly to the entrance of the El Badi palace.
