Through photo exhibitions and projections, this pretty dar plunges you into the daily life of Moroccans between 1870 and 1950, between portraits of inhabitants and scenes of life. Bringing together the documentary collections of two collectors, this museum holds around 5,000 photographs and 2,000 glass plates. The scenography, with its alcoves separated by dark curtains reminiscent of 19th century photographic chambers, is very well thought out.

cette maison de la photographie est à voir, les photos toutes en noir et blanc, retracent la vie du Maroc d'antan. Beaucoup de portraits. Une terrasse tout en haut domine toute la médina et donne une vue sur l'atlas magnifique

Très agréable visite pour ceux qui aiment la photographie dans un très joli riad : c'est une belle façon de découvrir le Maroc à travers photos et documentaires.
On termine la visite par une pause thé sur la toiture-terrasse qu'on aurait aime un peu plus grande lors des fortes affluences

Un petit musée très agréable. Ne pas oublier de monter sur la terrasse tout en haut, une expérience exquise ! Les photos sont belles et parlantes, et on peut même avoir le luxe d'en ramener une à la maison en achetant une reproduction. J'ai adoré.

I know Maison de la Photography museum since its opening in 2009. I always come back with pleasure for exhibitions of course and the beauty of the faces or the landscapes that are presented but also for the serenity that reigns in this place. The terrace where you can drink tea or take your lunch is one of the highest of Marrakech and a magnificent views.
