For lovers of cacti and other succulents: the largest cactus plantation in Africa is here in Marrakech. We owe this incredible place to Hans Thiemann who fell in love with the place in 1964 when he discovered the favourable ground for his passion. Since his death, the business has remained a family affair, his widow having taken over. 150 different species are distributed over an area of 16 hectares, some of which reach impressive heights. The place, as spectacular as it is, is still a well-kept secret... for the moment!
