MINING COUNTER
Comptoir des Mines built in 1932 in Marrakech, with a terrace offering a direct view of the Koutoubia ruins
The Comptoir des Mines is first and foremost a heritage. Built in 1932, the building was originally an explosives factory for mining research. It is composed of two adjoining buildings connected to each other by a corridor that can be accessed from the terrace. It offers a direct view of the remains of the Koutoubia, one of the oldest hotels of the 1930s. Exhibitions there are renewed about every two months and promote emerging or established Moroccan artists, such as one of the city's child prodigies, Mahi Binebine.
