Circuits requiring several hours' walking, ideal for discovering La Laguna Toro and the glacier tunnels
From Chaltén to the Laguna Toro camp, it's a good 15 km and 6-hour walk.
At one point along the way, on the right, a path is signposted to the Loma del Pliegue Tumbado (literally, "Mound of the Fallen Fold"). A detour of around 2.5 km, it takes 1 hour 40 min to climb (420 m ascent).
From camp to Paso del Viento (1,550 m altitude), 7.5 km and 6 hrs 30 min ascent (800 m ascent). It is possible to continue to Paso Huemul with a guide.
