CERRO PILTRIQUITRÓN
A short 45-minute walk from the El Bolsón parking lot, perfect for discovering 25 sculptures carved in dead trees
At an altitude of 1,420 m, after a short 45-minute walk from the parking lot, you can discover El Bosque Tallado. It consists of sixty sculptures carved from dead trees (most of which are lengas, typical of the region). The creators of this original work are local woodcarvers. You can continue the walk to the Piltriquitrón refuge, at the foot of the summit of the same name, the most famous and highest (2,260 m) in the valley. Superb panoramic views and recommended on a clear day. Sleeping accommodation is also available.
