LAGO ROCA - LAGO ACIGAMI
A lake of glacial origin ideal for trout fishing, situated between the mythical Cordillera de Darwin and the Guanaco mountain range.
Straddling Argentina and Chile, this lake of glacial origin is located between the mythical Darwin Cordillera and the Guanaco mountain range. At the time it was called lago Roca (in honour of President Julio Argentino Roca) and lago Errázuriz in Chile. Since 2009, the administration of Argentina's national parks has returned the aboriginal name of Lago Acigami, which means 'elongated basket' in the Yaghan language. Its Chilean part is located in the Yendegaia National Park. It is possible to camp around the park and try trout fishing.
