Perama is a large, well-established structure that has been offering its customers"low-cost" services and transportation for small budgets for many years. You don't need to be in a hurry, though, as the journeys are quite long: buses, local boats... The darling of backpackers, the atmosphere is one of long journeys where you get to see the country... Nice, but not necessarily suited to travelers looking for comfort and a tailor-made trip.
