PURA LINGSAR
A remarkable temple to visit in Mataram, a site with one part dedicated to Hinduism and another reserved for Muslims.
Originally built by the Balinese in 1714 and supported by the island's Sasak Muslims, this temple is a blend of the two religions. It is divided into two parts: the Hindu temple in the northern part and the Wetu Telu sanctuary in the southern part. It seems that a sacred spring has existed here since the dawn of time. The Sasak people have always come here to draw water or pray. You can feed eggs to the sacred eels in the various pools dedicated to the god Vishnu.
