ZONES DE PLONGÉE
Diving sites on the island of Gili Trawangan, Halik is perfect for beginners and Deep Turbo for the experienced.
Shark Point. To the northwest of the island, a line formation alternating between mountains and valleys, home to white-tip and black-tip reef sharks and schools of jacks
Jack Point. The deepest part of Shark Point, where you can encounter an artificial wreck sunk by the local diving club association some 15 years ago.
Halik. To the north of the island, a dive site ranging from 6 to 40 meters, with a very pretty, colorful shallow end, perfect for beginners, baptisms and snorkeling.
Sunset Reef / Manta Point. To the south-west of the island, a gently sloping site with lots of turtles, different species of multicolored fish and, with a bit of luck, manta rays passing through the blue.
Bio Rock. In the south-east of the island, created thanks to the hard work of the Gili Eco Trust association, this formation of structures designed to provide a base for new corals, plays a major role in rebuilding the coral. Indeed, the Gili Islands are the world's second-largest coral reconstruction spot in terms of structures. At the same time, this initiative is helping to repopulate the flora and fauna around the islands.
Deep Turbo. On the north-east side of the island, as the name suggests, this is a deep and turbo dive site offering depths of up to 50 meters... and more the further you go from the shore. You'll find underwater canyons and pinnacles that are still preserved. Please note that this site is for experienced divers only.
