The modern style of the Porto Real hotel is a little impersonal, a large hotel complex overlooking the sea. It's a far cry from colonial charm, but guests are offered the essentials. The soberly decorated rooms are spacious and comfortable. Restaurant, spa, fitness center, swimming pool. Everything is done to ensure guest comfort. It's not particularly glamorous, but it's spacious and pleasant. For one or two days on a stopover between Ilha Grande and Rio de Janeiro, you can indulge yourself and contemplate the sea.
