It's one of the few ancient religious buildings that still retains its original features with little or no alterations. This pretty little church in the center of Mangaratiba was built in 1795. It features a pretty facade covered with Portuguese azulejos. The Baroque-style interior is modest, with a small chapel and a wooden statue of the patron saint of herdsmen and fishermen. They come to honor her on September 8.
