PRAIAS
Beautiful, wide beach with clear waters for swimming, lined with palm trees, reasonably populated with a few straw huts
While waiting for the ferry, you can visit the beaches of Mangaratiba. The central beach, with its palm trees, is pretty, but not recommended for bathing as boats come alongside. The popular praia Ibicuí is often crowded. The most interesting is undoubtedly the praia Brava, which is beautiful and spacious, with a few straw huts for buying cold drinks and clear waters for swimming. More remote and accessible only by car from the center, the beaches of São Antonio and Junqueira are wild, with calm, clear waters.
