La Garota de Itaúna is a large, colorful restaurant that has established itself as one of Itaúna's most interesting eateries. It's a great beach establishment, simple and friendly, as you'd find in the Nordeste. Of course, it serves excellent fish (grilled fish with Maracujá sauce, Itaúna-style shrimps), but also tasty meats (churrasco), served in generous portions. Good value for money. Nice view from the balcony. An excellent place to watch the sun set over the sea.
