CASA GODINHO
For one hundred and twenty-five years, this delicatessen(mercearia godinho, casa de bacalahau e empadas in the language of Camoes) has been delighting Paulists. In addition to the dried bacalhau, the house is famous for its empadas. This small salty snack with shortcrust pastry is filled with béchamel sauce and cod, among other variations. You have to try it! The Paulists and Brazilian culinary magazines are not mistaken. They have been honouring it regularly for decades. The empada with shrimp in white sauce or with garlic are to be discovered.
