The São Paulo Formula One Grand Prix is held every November at the Interlagos circuit, south of the city.
It will have escaped no one's notice that Brazil is a great Formula 1 country. The Formula One Grand Prix of Sao Paulo is held on the Interlagos circuit, south of the city. It has been held since 1972 and has been part of the world championship since 1973. It should be noted that in 1978, as well as between 1981 and 1989, this grand prix was held in Rio (Jacarepagua circuit), and not in Sao Paulo. Alain Prost won there in 1982, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988 and 1990. Very popular event.
