Few tourists stay in São Paulo for long, let alone to play golf. The São Paulo Golf Club is a superb 18-hole golf course, quite far from the city centre, but in a large green park. The blue color of the ruffled ipês contrasts with the immaculate green of the greens. It is the oldest golf club in Brazil with a respectable age of 120 years. It was certainly initiated by the large and economically influential British community at the time. The club hosts a few tournaments throughout the year. For the expatriates, it is worth knowing.
