It is said that football in Brazil is almost a religion. So the Pacaembu is one of those temples. One of the oldest football stadiums in the country, where many national championship finals and some international matches are played. It was Corinthians' stadium from 1940 to 2013, before the Arena Corinthians was built on the outskirts of the city. The stadium also houses the football museum. Inaugurated in 1940, it can accommodate up to 40,000 people.
