IGREJA DAS CHAGAS DO SERÁFICO PAI SÃO FRANCISCO
It is adjacent to the São Francisco Church and was built in 1787 in pure Baroque style. Inside, the octagonal dome is decorated with remarkable paintings from the baroque era, most made by José Patrício da Silva Manso, representative Saint Francis delivering the rules to the brothers, or the same saint triumphant to heaven on his fire tank. Also admire the altar dedicated to Saint Michel and the two altarpieces, the first of the rococo style, the second of the style of João V - a novelty at the time - with des angels supporting salomoniques columns, made by sculptor Luis Rodrigues Lisbão. The choir is made of jacaranda wood.
