SÃO FRANCISCO LARGOS
An old street in the center, rich in Baroque religious buildings, housing three buildings forming part of a small fazenda
This old street is considered the richest in baroque religious buildings in São Paulo. The three buildings (Law School, São Francisco Church, São Francisco Convent and the Church of the3rd Order of Penance) were part of a small fazenda (farm) that existed until 1642. The Law School of São Paulo is still in operation. Today, the street is at the heart of the turbulent life of the center. From here, the zero mark of one of the largest avenues in São Paulo, Brigadeiro Luis Antonio Avenue, starts.
