CASA DE VIDRO LINA BO BARDI
Italian architect Lina Bo Bardi (1914-1992), a major representative of modernism in Brazil and responsible for the famous rectangular building in the red columns of the MASP (Art museum São Paulo, headed for 45 years by her husband Pietro Maria Bardi), also signed the glass house (Casa de Vidro), his first project and his residence until his death. Built in 1951 and located in the old town of Mata Atlântica (forest now devastated largely and became the district of Morumbi), the house hosting the Bardi Institute and temporary exhibitions can be visited by reservation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff were friendly and helpful.
