JEWISH ACTIVITIES CENTER
Yongsan-gu is a district of Seoul located north of the Han River. It is home to around 250,000 inhabitants in twenty different districts. Yongsan-gu is known for being home to the controversial US base of Yongsan Garrison, which was to be remodeled according to a pharaonic urban planning project, but was finally abandoned in 2013. The Seoul and Yongsan railway stations are also located here, both served by the KTX (Korean high-speed train). Among the sights of Yongsan-gu are the African, Nigerian and Muslim quarters in the Itaewon district, as well as the Japanese quarter to the east of the Ichon district.
