SOKCHO MUNICIPAL MUSEUM
Museum retracing the history of Sokcho, with outdoor activities and reconstructed traditional North Korean houses.
The Sokcho Museum, on the outskirts of town, is a great place to learn about the town's history (particularly the Abai village), but also for its outdoor activities. Traditional North Korean houses have been reconstructed (where you can sleep), as have the barracks in which North Korean refugees lived. Artistic performances are highly appreciated. A children's area is also available, which is very pleasant for families.
