FESTIVAL DE DANOJE
This "double five" festival, classified by UNESCO, is the most important and famous traditional festival in the whole country.
The third most important celebration (after Seollal and Chuseok) takes place on the5th day of the5th month in the lunar calendar. For a few days, the best shamans gather to perform gut (exorcisms or ceremonies to promote health and good harvests). You can also attend and take part in the traditional games played on this date, such as masked dances for the men and the swing for the women... The quality of this festival is such that it has been listed as one of humanity's intangible cultural heritage sites.
