North of Pyeonghae is the beach of Gusan with pines, large and clean, but there is a pretty ugly port at the end of the bay. There are yeogwans across the road. South of Gusan is the large Wolsongjeong pavilion in a pine forest by the sea. It is surrounded by graves, stelas and ponds lost in the forest. Originally built under Goryeo, it was rebuilt in 1980. It would be 1 of the 8 wonders on the East Coast. The beach will be nice when there is no longer the barbed wire. Yeogwans and minbaks are located on the other side of the road. A Pyeonghae starts on the right the road to Baek-am.
