Ideas for hikes, including one from Dodong over the Seong-inbong summit to Cheonburi in the northeast and one to the west coast.
There are several possibilities. You can cross the island by walking from Dodong by the Seong-inbong peak (984 m) to the village of Cheonburi in the northeast (13 km, leave early). From there, take a taxi to Dodong or try a different route after passing through a few villages. For example, go down from the east to Cheodong (11.5 km) and from there take a bus to Dodong, or go down the west coast to Taeha (8 km) and from there down to Namyang (14 km), from where you can take a bus to Dodong.
