BUNHWANGSA TEMPLE
Temple built during the reign of Queen Seondeok in 634, famous for its pagoda, the oldest in Korea.
This small temple owes its fame to its pagoda, which is the oldest in Korea. Raised under the reign of Queen Seondeok in 634, it originally had 9 floors but now has only 3. It seems to be made of brick, but the material used is indeed stone. In fact, it imitates the style of the Chinese pagodas of the Northern and Southern dynasties that used bricks. It has openings at the base guarded by bas-reliefs of guards. There's a lion in every corner. We will take a look in the hall of the temple and at its original statue.
