Crescent Moon Fortress, said to have housed the Silla royal palace, with the Seokbinggo ice shed dating from the Joseon period.

The Banwolseong fortress ("crescent moon" fortress) naturally takes its name from its shape. It is said to have been built around the year 100 and to have housed the royal palace of Silla. There is nothing left except the surrounding wall made of earth. The only interesting monument here is the Seokbinggo Ice Shed, which dates from Joseon and was moved here in 1741. There were already such buildings in Silla's time for storing food during the warm months. Ice was stored here in winter.
