NAKDONGGANG BIRD SANCTUARY
A nature reserve made up of a series of sandy islets home to over 100,000 species of birds, some of them very rare.
It is a group of sand islets in the Nakdonggang River estuary that has been designated as a nature reserve because thousands of rare birds come here from Siberia to winter or nest in the spring. It is necessary to visit the island of Eulsukdo, the main island, a real paradise, where more than 100,000 species of birds are listed, some of which are very rare such as the white-naped crane, the little spoonbill or the white-tailed eagle. The area was designated a nature reserve in 1966.
