An enchanting moment combining the poetry of lanterns with the history of their origins and evoking a pivotal moment for Korea.
It is based on a military technique used during the Imjin war. The lanterns prevented the Japanese from crossing the river. In October, illuminated structures are placed on the Namgang River and hundreds of lanterns are lit in memory of the fighters.
