Boriam Temple is located just below the island's main peak, Mount Geumsan. It was once known for granting visitors' most intimate wishes (you can judge for yourself). Like Haedong Yonggugsa Temple in Busan, it has one of the three statues of the Buddha goddess of mercy, Haesu Gwaneun (she too would grant wishes). It faces the sea splendidly. The temple offers a breathtaking view of Hallyeohaesang Park and the sea. It's simply overwhelming with beauty.
