It is quite possible to take a tour of Mokpo Bay. Ferries regularly travel around the small inhabited islands. Although it is not an unforgettable walk, you can have a brief glimpse of life on these rural and quiet islands. The boats leave from the Ferry Terminal, south of the city. There is apparently no accommodation on these islands which are not tourist but some have small beaches. From the wharf of the Shinan Beach Hotel, you can also take a ferry around the bay.
