HYANGIRAM HERMITAGE
Hermitage at Dolsando, base camp for the valiant monks who helped Admiral Yi Sun Sin during the Japanese invasion.
Located on the island of Dolsando, this hermitage is perched high up between rocks and crevasses. It once served as a base camp for the valiant monks who helped Admiral Yi Sun Sin during the Japanese invasion. This holy place, founded in 633, is well deserved. It is accessible after some small physical efforts and natural obstacles. To reach it, like an adventurer, you have to go through stone tunnels and narrow streets... Its very poetic name means "temple overlooking the sun". Sunrises and sunsets are splendid there.
