A colourful and traditional festival highlighting Baekje, one of the three crowns of the Three Kingdoms period.
Since 1955, this festival has sought to highlight the culture specific to the Kingdom of Baekje (often less well known than that of Silla). During these traditional cultural festivities there is a national poetry competition, an archery contest, fireworks displays, concerts, various rituals, the most famous of which is the Busosanseong Fortress, but also an impressive costume parade of nearly 5,000 participants.
