YONGDUAM ROCK
A wave-beaten rock in the shape of a dragon's head rising from the waves, a must-see with a legend.
It is one of the "must-see" places on the island, which you will get around without much frustration. It is a rock beaten by the waves, which is shaped like a dragon's head rising out of the waves. Here's the legend about its origin. A dragon is said to have stolen a jade stone belonging to the mountain deity. The latter shot down with an arrow, the dragon disappeared into the water... except for its head, which froze out of the water. The shape is truly original, but it's not a detour. Haenyeo can sometimes be seen in the vicinity.
