KOREAN ART MUSEUM
This museum which opened in 1954, shortly after the end of the war, exhibits Korean works of art from ancient times to the present day, paintings and sculptures. In neo-classical style, the building spans almost over 11 000 m2 and has more than 22 exhibition halls of different sizes, which cannot all be visited. As it is often the case in North Korea, part of the collection is dedicated exclusively to the former leaders Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jong-Il, this is a must. Have a look, on the street-side, at the roof which is decorated with a large replica of the flag of the people's army of Korea.
Photos are not allowed inside the Museum.
