STAMP MUSEUM
The philatelists will really like by this museum as it exposes a large part of the stamps that were printed by the regime since 1946. The first stamps were on the main theme of North Korea and its leaders; from the years 70, in search of currencies and to interest foreign visitors, the administration opted for other themes (sport, airplanes...). The Museum is not very large as it occupies only the first floor of the building but it has many interesting rooms. It is possible to buy collection stamps and moreover, almost all of what is exhibited can be purchased.
For those who are not particularly interested in stamps, the Museum also offers propaganda posters for sale, mainly printed reproductions. For those wishing to acquire paintings, they must be asked directly to the sellers. Remember to send postcards to your friends and to yourself, you can buy them on the spot and entrust them to the sellers who will take care of sending them.
The building is right next to Koryo hotel which is the most luxurious hotel in the city so ask the guide if it is possible to go inside, the detour is worth the effort!
