AU COIN D'IXELLES
On the pavement of the Murundi people, opposite the crossing with the street leading to Prince Regent Hospital, this small bar-restaurant opened in 2009 is a popular address of Buja. Its clientele is varied, between middle class and popular, and foreign residents wishing to change their atmosphere. Madeleine, who leads this «small Ixelles», has lived for a long time in Belgium, as a citizen. She is there every day, if not in the restaurant, in the little hairdresser next door. The name of his restaurant refers to the commune of Brussels where Matonge is Flourishing, the African neighbourhood par Excellence (Congo, Rwanda, Burundi…).
