LE MAQUIS

Opened for over years, this bar-restaurant is a historic site for outings in Buja. It is very experienced by journalists, lawyers, expatriates, and topical commentators of all kinds, which fragment in its various spaces (bamboo watchtowers, courtyard, central bar, wooden boxes, VIP room). We drink here, but also eat, dishes typical of the Burundian "maquis". Sometimes the service is rushed, especially the days of attendance, but the food is high. For some time, the bar is standing by cabarets in front of or beside (Broker Café), a little less comfortable, but also a little cheaper. However, the maquis remains very popular, lively and especially musical.
