This monument was inaugurated in the early 1990 s, at the time of the policy of the unit led by President Buyoya. Some soldiers are installed there and sometimes you have to bargain to access the places, in circles around a sparkling vertical sculpture, surmounted by the blue flag of the Unit. Beautiful view of the capital if you can access it! Rather unwanted photos, like at Rwagasore Mausoleum a few meters lower.

Je ne sais pas si ça vaut le coup
pour y arriver, il faut passer un checkpoint car le quartier est résidentiel pour les riches et même le président y habite. Disons que l'histoire qui se cache derrière est plus intéressante que le monument lui-même car elle parle de la bataille historique entre Tutsi (ou Watussi) et Hutu.
