Created in October 2007 by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, in collaboration with the Organisation internationale de la francophonie (OIF), this centre located in one of the most beautiful buildings typical of the capital, aims to develop public reading and culture. It offers a library in Bujumbura and about centres for reading and cultural animation (CLAC) within the country.
